The jeweller Lemoine installed at 10 rue de Castiglione in Paris since 1900 is the heir of the very old house Ouizille and Lemoine -specialized in particular in medals, tablets and pieces of jewelry. The house was very fashionable during the Restoration and was the source of famous orders for the royal family. In 1908, Jacques Lemoine closed his store on rue de Castiglione and joined one of his cousins (by marriage) Louis Cartier, avoiding direct competition with the already famous house on rue la Paix.
