JEAN PIERRE PAPIN N° 9 - OLYMPIQUE DE MARSEILLE
FOOTBALL bought in an official store of the Olympique de Marseille signed with a marker by Jean-Pierre Papin on July 4, 2020. Best player in the world in 1991 when he won the Ballon d'Or, Jean-Pierre Papin is one of the greatest strikers in the history of French soccer. He lived the peak of his career with Olympique de Marseille under the number 9 shirt, where he was the second highest scorer in the history of the club (182 goals): 4 French championship titles in a row from 1989 to 1992, five times top scorer in Division 1, winner of the French Cup in 1989 and finalist of the Champions League in 1991. He then exported his scoring talents to AC Milan, considered the best club in the world at the beginning of the 90's and with whom he won the 1994 Champions League. He is remembered for his acrobatic goals, which became his trademark under the name of "papinades". He was captain of the French team, with which he scored 30 goals in 54 appearances. Figure of the Guignols de l'Info in the 90s, Jean-Pierre Papin was one of the first footballers ultra mediatized. We would like to thank Mr. Jérôme Sillon for his help in writing this file.
