BRONZE MORTARS Set of three lead alloy mortars, bronze : - the first decorated with a mask, striated pattern and pastilles. With pestle. Mortar height: 6.5 cm - the second decorated with a dove amid flowers and a frieze of florets. Mortar height: 8.4 cm - the third with cylindrical body. With pestle. Mortar height: 15.5 cm Early work, most probably 17th and 18th centuries Also included: Copper alloy candlestick, octagonal base and shaft. Bobèche missing. The base is engraved with the letter 'D'. Height: 21.5 cm. 18th century.
