OPERA COSTUME Pagoda sleeves, organza lining, gold thread crochet belt, asymmetrical length forming a train (bears a label: "M. Gromtseff, 2 rue Rocher Paris 16e" and the annotation "Hop Sinor Mlle Brumaire Marguerite", workshop bolduc in one sleeve inscribed "Trotte mann") (traces in the lining, missing stitches on one sleeve, soiling notably at the hem) (approx. T S). Provenance: vault of the Hôpital des Pèlerins in Pons, part of costumes dispersed at auction in 2009, some of which were made by Paris Opera seamstresses around 1960.
