About the 500 bottles Château LABASTIDE ORLIAC Royal Héritage 1780
In 2007, Catherine and Isabelle Orliac, owners of Château Labastide, discovered a real treasure at the bottom of a well-hidden secretary, a missive signed by Louis XVI, dated 11 June 1780 This document is a proof of the King's benevolence towards Jean Orliac (wine merchant and producer, owner of Château Labastide), official supplier of the Versailles court.
Michel Bettane, in a Special Issue of the Express in July 2014, described the Royal Héritage 1780 vintage in glowing terms:
"The Orliac sisters, Catherine and Isabelle, produce without the planet paying attention, one of those great terroir products of which France has the secret. »
